ummm idk it looks weird plus it looks alot like the c4d logo so its nothing really new

maybe, making the edges of the grey thing would make it better, making them rounded, it seems a little severe at the moment, but I really like it.

I've got an idea!
Make the gray thing around it pointed, so it looks like wings. You know like the "hermes shoes" where it points back. Like the track symbol. Idk how to describe it, But tell me if you get what I'm saying

Yeah the grey material is kind of a gay watered down version of a marble texture I made. See the trouble was that the marble I made had kind of pinky bits in it, so it didn't go so i just thought of changing it to grey. The second problem was that it WAS reflective, but every time i rendered it, the reflection of the HDRI environment i used cause the bit where it kind of bends round the back of the sphere to turn pure white and, thus vanish. So yeah, i had to make compromises with it and it wasn't what i intended at the start.
As for the is being like the MAXON logo LOL! I actually hadn't thought of it like that!

actually it doesnt look much like the c4d logo.. exept for the colour of the sphere...
it can still go as original... also can we see it in other views? i'm jus interested...
