Ok, if anyone cares, but this is the tutorial that originally brought me over to this site. i forgot where I saw it (the site was in my favorites on the other PC, but after the format it's obviously gone :( ), and after seeing this work, I immediately wanted to check out the forums, and love it :D

wow cool someone posted some stuff.. umm yea that looks about right, AEguyTN. you might want to work on the edges of some of the shadows they look like you left click let up left click let up. try to hold left and do the edge then do it in layers sort of like paint. and wow i really like those buble things it has a cool reflection look to it id love to see how you made those.

ya my hand isnt steady enough to free style that type of movement wish i new a technique to just select like 1 half at a time and fill it in. the bubble things my friend showed me this - i can give a quick explanation....

somethin good size squared to work with 400x400

fill with black

lens flare 105mm prime between 70-110 (depends how shiny you want it) (dont move the flare anywhere leave it where its at)

polar coordinates (polar to rec)

rotate 180%

polar coordinates (rec to polar)

new layer (fill white), elip marquee corner to corner on layer 1 and copy, paste on top of white layer

paste again and elip marquee select and fill the copy with color of your choice and change layer mode to color and merge down

then to give an extra gloss i added plastic wrap at 20,13,15.

also, how did you make the tube that fits in those 'slinkys'?

umm i basically did a gradient using the blending options and then i went ahead and used a dodge tool with highlight mode and held shift and dragged from left to right to give it that bright color there.. also if you would could you create a new thread regarding that bubble ?

nice work sunken doesn't look bad there.. its a little uneven but no worries the dodge and burn are really hard tools to master there kind of like paint where the more you layer a part the more intense the brush is.. anyways id love to see your final product. . Thanks for trying it out too!

All the clicking at the beginning of the tutorial did nothing for me. I click on the layer but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?
